Take a stroll along the old streets in the well-preserved Koedo area in Kawagoe.
Kawagoe is a city that retains the streetscape of the Edo period.
We experienced making senbei, the Japanese Rice Cracker.
Baking Senbei was fun and challenging. Baking senbei requires skill. The heat and the timing of turning over the senbei are very important. If not handled properly, senbei could be burnt or baked into strange shapes.
We had three chances to challenge, and at the end we were graded according to the size of the baked senbei and received a sticker with stars,
then we could enjoy our senbei.
